Solar Capital UK

Terms of use

Last updated 2 November 2026 · version draft-2026-10

These terms cover your use of Solar Capital UK at app.solarcapital.uk and our field capture app. By accepting them when you start, you agree to them on behalf of your company. If your company has signed a separate agreement with Solar Capital UK, that agreement wins where the two differ. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.

What Solar Capital UK does

Solar Capital UK helps you prepare renewable energy projects for financing: it organises your documents, tracks what financiers require, builds a financial model and site design, and flags gaps and inconsistencies. Financing decisions are made by financiers, not by Solar Capital UK. Nothing in Solar Capital UK is an offer of finance, or legal, tax, engineering or investment advice.

Your account and your team

Your information

Confidentiality

We keep your documents and project information confidential and use them only to prepare your projects and, with your approval, to share them with financiers you choose. They are never used to train AI models. The confidentiality agreement you accept when you start sets this out in full.

Accounts you connect

When you connect Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive or OneDrive, you allow Solar Capital UK to use that access as described in the privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time. Google's and Microsoft's own terms also apply to your accounts with them.

Fair use

Don't use Solar Capital UK to break the law, to upload anything you have no right to share, to interfere with the service or other users, or to try to reach information that isn't yours.

The service

We work to keep Solar Capital UK available and accurate, and we keep improving it, so features can change. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. You can stop using Solar Capital UK at any time; see the privacy policy for what happens to your information.

Responsibility

Solar Capital UK is provided to help you prepare for financing; it does not guarantee that any project will be financed. To the extent the law allows, Solar Capital UK is not responsible for indirect losses, or for decisions made by financiers or by you on the basis of information in Solar Capital UK. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute about them.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will update the date above and ask you to accept significant changes before they apply to you.
